Have you seen my work and think it would look perfect in your space? Maybe you just haven’t found the perfect piece in the right size or color scheme? Commissioning your own piece of art may be a great way to go. Here’s how my commission process works:

Let’s start by connecting via email. You can send me a message via my inquiry page(see button below) with the following information:

- Where do you want to put this painting? In your living room above the fireplace? In your office? Maybe a little nook in your dining room?

- What size are you thinking? You can give me a range and we can finalize it later.

- Which pieces of my past work are you connecting with the most? Feel free to send me screenshots from my instagram or website to share your favorites. Tell me what you like about them!

- *OPTIONAL: Is this artwork symbolic in any way or is it meant to capture something special to you? Is there a place/photo/memory that you want to use as inspiration?

Once I have this info I can respond and follow up with any additional questions. Depending on the size/style/inspiration, we may connect in person or over the phone so I can get more details from you before giving you a quote.

LOGISTICS AND TIMELINES:

  1. Once we have finalized the above information I will send you an invoice for a 50% deposit. This deposit is non-refundable and is required to put your project on my calendar. I will also send you a commission agreement for you to sign and send back to me. This agreement will outline all of the details, costs, and timelines.

  2. I will start by sending you 2-3 color scheme options for you to choose from, based off the inspiration discussed.

  3. Depending on size and style of the painting I may do a smaller composition painting for you to see before I start on your piece. For gestural works on paper I typically create a small series of works and you choose which one(s) you would like to purchase from me.

  4. When the piece(s) is complete I will send you an image of the final painting and confirm shipping. Shipping is an additional fee and will be discussed at the beginning of the process. Pick-up is available for local customers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

  5. The entire process takes about 8-10 weeks, from the time I receive your deposit. If you are working with a tighter timeline please let me know so that I can outline any rush fees that may be required.
